ITAM | LACEA-LAMES 2006

Call for Papers

The Eleventh Annual Meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA) and the 2006 Latin American Meeting of the Econometric Society (LAMES) will take place in Mexico City, Mexico, from November 2 to 4. The event will be hosted by the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).

For the first time, the two meetings will run in parallel at the same place, under a single local organization. By registering for the 2006 LACEA-LAMES, participants will be welcome to attend to all sessions of both conferences. The meeting is open to all economists and econometricians, including those that are not currently members of LACEA or the Econometric Society.

The will be a separate Program Committee for each meeting. LACEA's Program Committee is chaired by Professor Lorenza Martínez, ITAM. LAMES' Program Committee is co-chaired by Professor Ignacio Lobato, ITAM, for Econometrics and Empirical Economics, and by Professor Cesar Martinelli, ITAM, for Theoretical and Applied Economics.

Members of each association are invited to submit papers to the respective meeting. Information to join these associations can be found at www.econometricsociety.org. and www.lacea.org.

Each author may submit only one paper to each meeting. The same paper cannot be submitted to both meetings. Papers can only be submitted electronically through the 2006 LACEA-LAMES website, at lacealames2006.itam.mx. The deadline for submissions is May 28, 2006. Papers must consist of a single PDF file with a maximum size of 2MB. No other format will be accepted.

A committee chaired by Professor Alejandro Hernández, ITAM, is responsible for all local arrangements. Information regarding the Program Committees, conference program, venue, registration, accommodations, social events and technical conference support will be made available through the conference website at lacealames2006.itam.mx.
